The Joy of Arbeit*:
“Nobody Told Me”

Here is Fließen und Fließen – Flow and Flow, sung by practitioners at the recent
Tensegrity workshop in Berlin. This piece of music was found by Berlin co-sponsors –
Rita Sandau and Wolfgang Richter – sung by practitioners – Doris Castro, Fiona Leckie,
Artem Piatigorskij, Christine Pietsch, Erik Protzner, Anke Steinemann, and Rita Sandau
– mixed by Sven von Thulen with the help of Ed de Bruin, and accompanied with guitar
by Brian LeBeaux.

Sung live by the entire body of Tensegrity practitioners at the close of the workshop,
Fließen und Fließen – Flow and Flow epitomizes overall the many singular voices
uniting together in harmony and vibration for the betterment and good of each participant
as well as the group as a whole, a situation occurring in mutually-beneficial group
exchanges at work, the closing exercise at the workshop experienced by all.

Additionally, the arrangement of the song mirrors a traditional group meeting – the
beginning with all voices singing together stands as a metaphor of initial intention; the
following diversification of singular prominent voices reflects the active vocal exchange
at any group meeting; and the closing harmony of voices symbolizes again the unity of
all bettered through this interaction.

Below are the lyrics in German as it was sung in the workshop, followed by translations
in English and Spanish:

Fließen und Fließen

Fließen und Fließen, das Leben genießen,
lass es einfach zu.
Lachen und weinen, mit anderen teilen, das gehört da-zu.
Lausche den Wellen, sie rufen dir zu:
“Im Fluß des Lebens bist du”
Fließen und Fließen, das Leben genießen,
lass es einfach zu

Flow and Flow

Flow and flow, enjoy life,
just let it happen.
Laughing and weeping, share with others, that is part of it.
Listen to the waves, they call out to you:
"In the flow of life are you"
Flow and flow, enjoy life,
just let it happen.

Fluye y Fluye
