To seek freedom is the only driving force I know. Freedom to fly off into that infinity out there. Freedom to lift off; to be like the flame of a candle, which, in spite of being up against the light of a billion stars, remains intact, because it never pretended to be more than what it is: a mere candle.

“We come from the stars,” Florinda Donner-Grau said looking up at the night sky from the garden of the seers’ house.
“And to the stars we return,” Carlos Castaneda said quietly as he joined her with a small group of students.
“Yet on a daily basis, we are little aware of this fact,” he continued. “We get so caught in our own view, we seem to be like individual solar systems centering around what we take to be our personal sun and moon, and planets—our original families—we take them for granted, noticing, for example, only if the sun isn’t bright that day, or our Father didn’t give us what we wanted; and we repeat with others what we played out with our families, ceasing to perceive those other beings—who and what they—and we—really are.”
“And we don’t even notice their context—our ancestors—like a galaxy, and beyond that, an infinity of galaxies, beyond our wildest conceptions, shining with wisdom and joy,” Florinda added.
“True,” agreed Carlos Castaneda.
“However, if we expand perception, we can re-connect with the cycles of the sun and moon, and beyond them, the cycles of the stars, as the seers of antiquity did, and make a map of our lives and cycles of time here on Earth.”
“The ancients built their cities and dreaming sites this way,” Florinda said. “For example, one such site has a group of seven structures at its Eastern, sunrise end, mirroring what we call the Seven Sisters, or the Pleiades, and three structures at its Western, sunset end mirroring what we call Orion.
“And in between, a very long stone-paved avenue connecting the city’s two ends, an earthly mirror of what we call Milky Way band, which can be said to represent the infinite possibilities contained in the course of one’s life,” Carlos added.
“As above, so below,” whispered Florinda.
“The stars were here long before we were born, and will be here long after we are gone…They are a sentient source of memories, of why we are here, of the paths we came to walk. Bathing in their light ignites our own light, our own experience, to shine forth and be shared amongst other stars… Awareness grows with this kind of collaboration,” he added. “New spheres, new pathways are opened, sparkling with appreciation and discovery.”

Following the line of energy from workshops in Riccione, Italy, 2008, Joshua Tree, California, 2009, and Madrid, Spain, 2010, this forest retreat weekend workshop extends this knowledge further by focusing on closing any lingering struggles with outside authority – parents, bosses, partners – so that as travelers-from-the-stars, we can move perceptually to live in the richness and abundance of the present, inhaling and claiming our own purpose and authority—our direct connection with infinity—and receive and share with others from that boundless source.
Early morning ‘day-star’ meditations, ‘star baths,’ music circles, day and evening forest walks, and a full Tensegrity workshop employing magical passes and self-examination exercises will be part of this unique event.
