Dendrites forming new neural pathways

"Impeccability is the wise use of energy."

Don Juan Matus to Carlos Castaneda

The word "impeccable" comes from the Latin "im + peccare," which means "not wandering off the mark." So when dealing with how we use our energy, it means knowing what our true path is, (and isn't) and what has the ability to take us off of it (waste our energy), or keep us on it (enhance our energy). So impeccability also means the journey of learning how to stay aligned with Source, doing our best, and a bit more, in whatever we are guided to do.

The mood, and journey of impeccability in community teamwork - each member doing their best, in support of a mutual endeavor, and being aware of, and appreciating their own and each others' contributions, and taking responsibility for their own part - is the basis of a functioning and effective Tensegrity community.

As R. Buckminster Fuller coined the word 'tensegrity' to describe the adaptive structural functioning of natural and architectural systems, Carlos Castaneda borrowed the term to describe the same functioning of energy and awareness within the human individual as well as within groups - the ability to be aware of and account for one's strengths and weaknesses, within the group, and also be open to learn from others and adapt to the present situation.

Within the current Tensegrity Community, many of you have been active dreamers of impeccable teamwork within your local practice communities, supporting them by serving as representatives of your Tensegrity Practice Groups, working with a team to carry out the many tasks needed to organize classes, practice meetings, or events. This training is designed as a hearty 'Thank You!" for all your contributions, as well as a turning point into a new era of collaboration, a call to step more deeply into your own self-awareness and into roles of greater responsibility and leadership.

In this training, we will explore, individually and together:

oWhat is the nature of my daily Tensegrity and awareness practice?
oWhat is Tensegrity in action, within a practice group/ community setting?
oWhat is a Tensegrity Facilitator?
oWhy do I want to be a Tensegrity Facilitator?
oWhat does it take to facilitate a safe space for others to become aware of their own being, their own direct connection with Source, and to respect that of others?
oWhat gifts, and strengths, do I bring to my practice community to help facilitate this safe space? What personal drawbacks or challenges do I need to address in this area?

This will be a practicum with individual and group tracking, as well as hands-on experience of facilitating for others during the Song of the Plumed Serpent Workshop itself, as well as via a specific follow-up class that you will take with you to facilitate in your own practice groups.

This training is open to seasoned practitioners who are:

Current Tensegrity Co-Sponsors and/or Practice Group Representatives (meaning those who took a Practice Group Representative training and helped to organize and/or lead Cleargreen Practice Group Class Series) and who are in good standing with their local registered group and with Cleargreen.

If you do not fit this description yet feel you belong in this lab, we encourage you to please write us a brief note describing your situation and experience with your group and why you are interested in this training, by October 31, and we will respond promptly. (We know there are several of you who are not current sponsors or representatives, yet continue to contribute joyfully and productively as organizers in your local practice and the Tensegrity Community, and belong in this training as well.)

Once you register, you will then be sent a questionnaire for you to fill out fully and completely, to the best of your ability, and return to us by November 11. Your actual admittance to the training will be contingent on completing this preparation on time. Please make sure to send your questionnaire in English only.

The training will be given in English. Those participants who need translation are asked to organize this in advance amongst their language groups. (Translators must be participants of the training as well).

Tensegrity is the modern practice of the warrior-traveler’s path with heart which don Juan Matus taught his four students: Carlos Castaneda, Florinda Donner-Grau, Taisha Abelar and Carol Tiggs. The word ‘tensegrity’ was coined by an architect, scientist, engineer, global thinker and dreamer whom Carlos Castaneda admired: R. Buckminster Fuller. Fuller described tensegrity as a process of tensional integrity—the inherent interdependence of structures such as cells, bodies, and solar systems which are held together by a continuous web of tension (such as gravity) holding together discontinuous islands of compression (such as the sun, planets and moons in the solar system).
As a modern practice of shamanism, Tensegrity means adapting to our own energy, the energy of sun and stars, the air, water, the land, and of its inhabitants in a way that supports the interdependent integrity of the community that we are, as individual and collective beings. The tools that can help us to do this include the ancient energy-enhancing movements and breaths known as magical passes, as well as tracking and dreaming exercises, all of which we will do in this workshop.
Tracking exercises are: guided self-examination exercises practiced individually and with a peer witness, which allow one to track not only our physical patterns, but also our related mental and emotional patterns and their consequential behaviors and judgments, which we inherited from our lineage and cultures.
We can direct the energy and awareness gained from this review to access what don Juan Matus called freedom of perception—the freedom to move past any limiting interpretations of our lineage, upbringing and culture to perceive energy directly, and to dream true interdependence—new possibilities of working with others and with the earth–wherever we are, possibilities which spring from an open heart, from bringing one’s best to the interchange.
