Carlos Castaneda's Tensegrity

For Seasoned and New Practice Group Representatives – The Next Three-Hour Training Session to Guide Practice Group Tensegrity Classes

On Vibration

LA Convention Center
Los Angeles, California
February 21, 2010
7:00 to 10:00 pm

For the seers of ancient Mexico, the human energetic configuration was a conglomerate of energy fields agglutinated together by a vibratory force that bound those energy fields into a luminous ball of energy…This sphere of luminosity was considered by those seers to be our true self – true in the sense that it is irreducible in terms of energy

— Carlos Castaneda

In the upcoming Practice Group Tensegrity Classes, practitioners will gain a deeper experience of their true self – their vibratory nature – through the practice of magical passes and self-inquiry exercises, all accompanied with an immersion into their own voice and the rhythm and vibration of the drum.

As a means of orienting seasoned and new Practice Group Representatives in the specifics of these upcoming classes, a Three-Hour Training Session following the workshop in Los Angeles, California will be held.

Groups wishing to participate may send as many ‘seasoned’ group members to this training as they wish (‘seasoned’ here means anyone who has attended at least two Cleargreen sponsored workshop or class events, before this workshop; events other than those given by Practice Group Representatives). Before sending group members, each practice group needs to be registered as an ‘active’ practice group with Cleargreen, and committed to taking at least one series of these Practice Group Tensegrity Classes, each spanning approximately four to six weeks.

Practice Group Representatives who have participated in the first, Three-Hour Training Session, need to attend this second, Three-Hour Training Session in order to teach the upcoming new series of classes. (In the future, each new series of classes having a different theme will be accompanied by a Practice Group Representative Training Session of this kind.) So that we can anticipate class size and translation needs, please turn in your registration for this event no later than February 7.

Pre-registration for this event is required; NO registrations will be taken at the door.

Group representatives who participate in this training agree to:

- Attend the workshop “The Green Room: Opening Our Hearts” in Los Angeles;

- Announce each upcoming series of classes, via e-mail and/or other means, to the individual members of your practice group;

- Find a place to meet for the classes and organize between the members of your group payment for the space;

- Arrange for drums and other small, hand-held instruments – shakers, gourds, claves, thumb-pianos, tambourines, etc. – to be at the studio or ask everyone to bring one or some;

-  Take registration and collect contributions at the door;

- Guide the content of the classes and receive feedback from participants;

- Send Cleargreen feedback and accounting within two weeks after the last session of each series;

- Receive feedback and collaboration from Tensegrity Instructors, with the intent of dreaming together these events.

This is the only time this training will be given in the United States.

Cost of the training session - (can be shared by practice group):

US $35 per representative

The training will be given in English. Additional translation is dependent upon number of attendants in other languages; please indicate the languages you speak fluently in your registration.

Los Angeles, California, February 21, 2010

Registration to the training session is closed

Tensegrity is the modern practice of the warrior-traveler’s path with heart which don Juan Matus taught his four students: Carlos Castaneda, Florinda Donner-Grau, Taisha Abelar and Carol Tiggs. The word ‘tensegrity’ was coined by an architect, scientist, engineer, global thinker and dreamer whom Carlos Castaneda admired: R. Buckminster Fuller. Fuller described tensegrity as a process of tensional integrity—the inherent interdependence of structures such as cells, bodies, and solar systems which are held together by a continuous web of tension (such as gravity) holding together discontinuous islands of compression (such as a sun, planets, moons and asteroids).
    As a modern practice of shamanism, Tensegrity means adapting to our own energy, the energy of the air, water, the land, stars and of its inhabitants in a way that supports the interdependent integrity of the community that we are, as individual and collective beings. The tools that can help us to do this include the ancient energy-enhancing movements and breaths known as magical passes, as well as tracking and dreaming exercises, all of which we will do in this workshop.
    Tracking exercises are: guided self-examination exercises practiced individually and with a peer witness, which allow one to track not only our physical patterns, but also our related mental and emotional patterns and their consequential behaviors and judgments, which we inherited from our lineage and cultures.
    We can direct the energy and awareness gained from this review to access what don Juan Matus called freedom of perception—the freedom to move past the interpretations of our lineage, upbringing and culture to perceive energy directly, and to dream true interdependence—new possibilities of working with others and with the earth–wherever we are, possibilities which spring from an open heart, from bringing one’s best to the interchange.
